What pay by bank options are supported?

Accrue supports Standard ACH, Same Day ACH and Real Time Payments.

How are payments status and funds transfers reconciled?

RTP payments are settled immediately, funds transfer in synchronous, no settlement reconciliation is necessary.

How can I reconcile debits and credits sent to the merchant settlement account?

You can use settlement reports to reconcile debits and credits sent to the merchant settlement account. The settlement report includes a summary of the total debits and credits sent to the merchant settlement account. The settlement report also includes a list of transactions that are included in that summary.

How do I access my settlement reports?

Settlements can be accessed via API as well as other reporting tools. Talk to your Accrue representative for the best way to access your settlement reports.

How often are settlements created?

Accrue settlement process intervals are configurable to the desired frequency (hourly, daily, weekly). Frequent settlement reconciliation is appropriate for higher transaction volume.

Accrue recommends a daily settlement process. Talk to your Accrue representative to determine the frequency of settlements.

When a settlement report is created it will include all payments and refunds that have been cleared and are ready to be batched since the previous report. A settlement will only be created if there is at least one transaction -- empty settlement reports are not created.

When does a payment appear in a settlement?

Following a configurable holding period a payment will be included in the settlement report and batched to be sent to the merchant settlement account.

Hold times are used to protect both the consumer and the merchant from fraud and identity theft. Accrue recommends a 2 business day hold period for payments. Talk to your Accrue representative to reduce the hold times.

When does a refund appear in a settlement?

The debit transaction from the merchant settlement account is batched and following that the funds are sent to each individual user's final destination account. Refunds are included in the next settlement created following the creation of the refund.

How are ACH returns handled?

ACH return handling is a part of the agreement between the merchant and Accrue. Talk to your Accrue representative to find out more about how ACH returns are handled.
