Payments

Accrue Savings offers two ways for customers to complete purchase:

  • Accrue Pay - The consumer selects Accrue Pay as an option at checkout. Rather than pay for interchange fees, the purchase is made via ACH from the user's bank account or Accrue Wallet (or a combination of both) and the merchant recieves a settlement payout once the funds have cleared. This is a convenient and cost-effective option for the merchant, and implementation requires minimal additional development.

Accrue Pay is made up of two slightly different flows in one integration:

    • Accrue Pay by Wallet - consumers pay for goods with funds and rewards that they've amassed in their Accrue Wallet. If they don't have sufficient funds in their Accrue wallet for the purchase, they can even link a bank account to supplement the difference.

    • Accrue Pay by Bank - consumers pay for goods with a linked bank account. This option promotes brand loyalty for otherwise one-time buyers by issuing them a reward in a new Accrue Wallet, which they can use to save up for their next purchase.

  • Virtual Debit Card - The consumer is issued a virtual debit card from their Accrue dashboard to use during checkout. No additional development is required from the merchant to support Accrue issued cards. Please note, merchants opting for this payment method will still incur their standard costs associated with accepting card payments.
